Guests fishing from the bank of a Khami dam on a bright day
The reserve

6,500 acres, nine dams, wildlife on your doorstep.

The reserve is part of the stay, not an excursion bolted onto it. Walk, fish, watch and explore as much or as little as you like.

Life inside the gate

Do as much, or as little, as you like.

Giraffe, plains game and the daily tracks and sounds of a working private reserve are all part of being at Khami. Your guide and vehicle are yours for the stay, so the day can run around a sighting, a swim, or nothing at all.

No shared game drives, no set circuit. Just your group and 6,500 acres.

Water

Nine dams across the reserve.

Still water, reflected light and the wildlife that gathers around it. The dams are as much a part of Khami as the lodge itself.

Wildlife

Giraffe, kudu and plains game on your own land.

Sightings here are everyday, not scheduled: a giraffe at the dam, kudu moving through camp, the ordinary rhythm of a private reserve going about its day.

On the water

Swim, paddle, fish. However the day runs.

The dams are yours to use as you please: a canoe out at dawn, an afternoon swim, or simply watching the light change over the water.

Ways to spend a day

Private land, private moments.

Use Khami as a base for slow days outdoors, with Matobo and the wider region within easy reach whenever you want to go further.

More of the reserve

Every dam, every corner.

A few more views across the water and the land around the lodge.
